Fashionistas support breast cancer patients

Ladies strutted their stuff on the catwalk while showing off the latest fashions to raise money for a worthy cause.

The Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group hosted a springtime fashion show at “Bon Marche” in Sutton’s Idlewells Precinct.

The models showed the latest fashions and there was a fund-raising raffle, lucky card and name game along with home baked cakes to buy and free refreshments.

The event raised £177 to benefit breast cancer patients at King’s Mill Hospital.

The Amazons gave a big ‘thank you’ to all those who supported the event and particularly to Bon Marche Manage Shelley, her staff and all the models.

The Amazon group was founded by twelve Kings Mill breast cancer patients who wanted to provide help to breast cancer patients that went beyond the pure medical care given by the hospital.

They meet on the second Tuesday of each month (except in August) from 7.30pm to 9pm in the Amazon Lounge, Clinic 14, Women and Childrens Centre, Red Tower. See www.amazonsgroup.org.uk
