Family remember '˜beautiful' Leonne Weeks as they prepare for funeral today

Leonne’s funeral will take place today, Thursday, February 9, in Dinnington.

A number of people are expected to attend as they pay their respects to Leonne, who was found fatally injured on Monday, January 16, just off Lordens Hill, Dinnington.

Her family have issued the following statement: “Today, we are laying our beautiful daughter Leonne to rest and celebrating her life with family and friends.

“She is loved and sadly missed by all her family. Leonne was a twin and was close to all of her brothers and sisters.

“We are grateful for the ongoing support shown by the community and other groups which have links to the family.

“As a family we would appreciate that our privacy is respected as we mourn the loss of Leonne.”

Shea Peter Heeley, aged 18, of Doe Quarry Lane, Dinnington, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear at Sheffield crown Court on February 21.
