The body of Alan James Easton, 50, of Dunbartonshire, Scotland, was found dead at Middle Cross Lane, between Harwell Sluice Lane and Everton Lane in February this year.

Angela Dowling, 47, and Stephen Schofield, 31, of Windmill Avenue, Conisbrough and Matthew Duffy, 22, of Sussex Street, Doncaster, were set to go on trial at Nottingham Crown Court as the Guardian went to press.

On Wednesday the jury in the trial was due to be sworn in ready for the official start of the court case.

But it was not expected that barristers would offer any evidence or begin cross examination of defendants and witnesses until today (Thursday).

The trial is expected to go on for several weeks.
