Ellicar House to open its gardens

Ellicar House at Gringley-on-the-Hill is opening up for National Gardens Weekend.

Despite a bad winter and spring, owners Sarah and Will Murch have got everything in good shape for visitors.

“The spring gardens are looking lush and colourful, the wildflower meadows are bursting with moondaisies, and the rose garden is clothed in ethereal purple alliums and sibirican irises,” they said.

Children can enjoy exploring the school garden, willow maze, and visiting the friendly rare breed animals.

The nearby gardens at Trust Cottage and The Summer House are combining their openings with Ellicar House from 1pm until 5pm on Sunday 16th June. A combined ticket costing £4, and teas and plants will be on sale.
