A 91-year-old woman was left “extremely shaken” after discovering a burglar in her Ollerton home.
The woman was disturbed by a noise at around 7.30pm on Thursday, June 2 before finding a man in her Church Road home.
He had entered through an unlocked rear door. He left the same way, with her handbag, purse and a quantity of money.
While the woman wasn’t physically harmed, she required medical attention for shock.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and bailed pending further enquiries.
