YOUNGSTERS can get a hands-on taste of life working in the creative industries at Worksop Library later this month.

Free young people’s workshops from The Centre of Creative Arts and Technology from North Notts College will take place from 23rd-26th August.

Learn how to prepare, produce and edit your own movie at a creative media production workshop on Tuesday 23rd August from 2pm-5pm.

Those attending will get a taste of the media courses running at the college and get to use some industry standard kit.

On Wednesday 24th August work with experienced artists, get a taste of courses on offer at the college and stretch your creative skills producing an item to be sold at an imaginary event at the art and design workshop.

The following day, on Thursday 25th August, take part in a creative music production.

Using industry standard equipment, those attending will use a combination of sounds and computer technology to create beats with electronic junk percussion.

A performing arts workshop where you will discover how to make stories and ideas fun, entertaining and engaging with a professional drama tutor from North Notts College is the final workshop on Friday 26th August.

All the workshops are free to attend and are ideal for school leavers.

They all take place in The Youth Zone at Worksop Library, on Memorial Avenue from 2pm-5pm.
