Jon Clark, 36, ran from his home in Crookes, Sheffield, to his workplace in Eckington.
He clocked up a total of 105 miles in 15 hours in support of a friend who is suffering from a rare form of the disease.
Louise Wisson, who lives in St Albans, has primary peritoneal cancer and is aiming to raise £100k for The Eve Appeal.
Jon said: “Louise is such an inspiration to us all. She has been so positive throughout her treatment and I wanted to do something worthy of her!”
Rob and Chris Downham, entrepreneurial twins and fitness enthusiasts, boosted Jon’s efforts by running with him for several legs. Their company, Reward Health, sponsored his efforts. Rob said: “This is exactly the type of event we want to promote. Our products encourage people to get fit and healthy, whilst providing a safety net when things go wrong”.
Physiotherapist Jonny Cassidy from The Physios sponsored a mid-week session to keep the fundraiser running.
Jon has smashed his target by nearly £250. To back him, visit www.justgiving.com/jonny-the-camel or TEXT RTWW99 £2 to 70070.
