Easy for Gainsborough against Lincoln

Gainsborough 53, Lincoln 3

Despite the disruption in the fixtures the Gainsborough side continued its winning ways although it was always expected that they would defeat this week’s visitors from Lincoln.

The hosts had a double disappointment losing the fixture with Skegness for the All Blacks XV on Thursday and the Maoris’ game was cancelled at 6pm on Friday.

This left many players disappointed and the only fixture available to the club was Lincoln fourths and they travelled to Gainsborough for a game.

Coaches Vernon Goude and Harry Sampson gave some young lads a run out including Ross Duncan who continues to impress along with wingers Chris Carr and Zac Brumby who both used the ball well.

Try scorers were Chadwick (3), Dave Gill, Nathan Hymer Bates, Daniel Dawson and Ross Duncan.

The other exciting news for the Gainsborough side this week is that Elliot Humphrey was due to play in the Lincs County Team yesterday (Wednesday), an outstanding achievement for this young man, and all at the club are delighted.
