Early rush for sports funds
FIVE bids have been made from Bassetlaw for Notts County Council’s £1million Sports Legacy Fund.
Sports organisations across the region can apply until 31st December for funding to support sports development.
The pot features two streams of funding - Kick Start grants of £500 to £10,000 and Game Changer grants of £10,000 to £50,000 to help local sports organisations promote sport and nurture talent to find the sports stars of the future.
The county council launched the fund to build on the success of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
