Lukasz Pienkos, 28, of Chichester Close, Mansfield, admitted driving with excess alcohol on Priestic Road on June 3.

Officers spotted his silver VW Passat emerge from the Asda carpark very slowly and go over the central line.

A breath test revealed he had 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

Pienkos told magistrates: “I regret what I have done and I can promise it will never happen again. I will learn my lesson.”

He was fined £200, with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge, and was banned from driving for 22 months.
