Drugs warning after two people fall seriously ill in Nottinghamshire

Police and health bosses are warning people in Nottinghamshire about the dangers of taking drugs after two people became seriously ill over the weekend.

Both fell ill after visiting a nightclub in Nottingham. They were taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where they remain in a stable, but improving, condition.

Superintendent Ted Antill said: "We always warn people about the dangers of taking drugs but this warning becomes even starker in circumstances like these when it is clear there may be drugs circulating which are having such a devastating impact.

“Please refrain from buying and taking drugs. If you have bought any drugs, particularly if you purchased them recently, do not take them."

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs in relation to the above incident.
