Drivers fined
police have dealt with more than 150 offences on the area’s motorways and main roads by using an unmarked heavy goods lorry.
During a two week operation, South Yorkshire Police issued £12,130 of fixed penalties for offences. The most common offence saw 42 drivers caught using their mobile phone while driving.
