Richard Keith Taylor, 25, of Welwyn Avenue, admitted drink driving and possessing cannabis when he appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Police officers found his Seat Leon on its roof in a field off Old Mill Lane, in Mansfield Woodhouse, in the early hours of November 27, last year.

Mary Dixon, mitigating, said Taylor worked as a railway track man and the loss of his licence might cost him his job.

He was banned for 18 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.
