Don’t become crime victim

Run by PC Mick Fletcher, Operation Capture targeted vehicle crime and known offenders in the Rotherham area.

Officers gathered intelligence from known offenders about how and why they offend. The result was people are leaving valuables on display and vehicles insecure.

Police want drivers to remove all items on display from their vehicles and lock car doors. Mobile phones, Satnavs, laptops, handbags, jackets and electronic tablets are all sought after items desirable to criminals and theft is made easier by the vehicle doors being left unlocked.
