IT is not too late to start your New Year’s resolutions with the help of some feathered friends at Clumber Park Hotel next week.
In recognition of annual Farmhouse Breakfast Week, which runs from 23rd-29th January, the hotel’s chef Allan Barratt has designed a menu to give you a healthier start to the day.
As part of the healthy initiative, guests can enjoy an alternative menu as well as the traditional English breakfast.
Dishes will include stewed apricots in a vanilla syrup with toasted walnuts and natural yoghurt, berry burst smoothie and poached hen’s egg and homemade wheaten bread.
And courtesy of White Post Farm Centre, the hotel will also be receiving some rather special resident guests for the week as well.
Hotel general manager James Hemming said the new addition would be great for youngers guests.
“Without these feathered friends there would be no eggs, a staple to most breakfasts, so we thought it would be a great way to see exactly what goes into looking after them,” he said.
