Domestic assault man sentenced

Dogan Arslan was convicted of two counts of assault last November.

Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard how Arslan, 30, of Allen Street, lashed out at Lisa Burton between June and August last year.

Prosecuting, Judith Kirkham said he once punched her eye, bruising it.

When she said she was leaving he pulled her hair, waking their two-year-old son who was in the room.

Defending, Emma Goodall said Arslan now accepted it was over.

A 12 month restraining order was imposed, plus 12 month community order, 120 hours unpaid work and £125 compensation for Ms Burton.
