Do you know the difference between phishing, smishing or vishing?

According to a latest twitter poll run by Lincolnshire Trading Standards, 91 per cent of people don't know the difference between phishing, smishing or vishing.

The poll also showed that 46 per cent of people had been targeted by scammers, either via email, post, mail, text or phone.

Emma Milligan, principal trading standards officer at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Scams are changing and evolving all the time, so its important to be aware and understand new types of scams. From the results of our poll, it is clear that scammers are targeting people in Lincolnshire and that we need to do more to educate residents about new scams.”
