A sites and policies display will run at The Lyric Theatre on Laughton Road on Monday 17th June 4pm - 6pm, Tuesday 18th June 12 noon - 4pm, Wednesday 19th June 10am - 12 noon.

Rotherham Council’s consultation event is at Dinnington Resource Centre on Thursday 20th June 2.30pm - 6.30pm.

“Dinnington is taking a fair percentage of the proposed development allocated to Rotherham Borough. Dinnington is expected to increase over the next 15 years by between 1,100 to 1,300 homes,” said a town council spokesman.

They said that while some people object, and others support the plans, the council must remain balanced.

“Whilst the town council has, and will continue to object to any development on greenbelt land, it has to support residents in reaching their own opinions, and in order to do this has promised to expand on the borough council consultation.”
