Dinnington: Patients from Rotherham Hospital get creative and raise cash for Royal British Legion

Patients have been busy getting creative in a bid to raise money for charity.

People from The Woodlands unit at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust raised £70 by making clay poppies.

The cheque was presented to members of the Royal British Legion.

The money will be used to donate cash and to buy items to improve the lives of former soldiers and their families, such as stair lifts, and ‘poppy break’ respite care.

Joe Jackson from RBL said: “It is an honour to collect this donation on behalf of the Royal British Legion.”
