Coun John Foden unveiled an interpretation lectern depicting the history of the site on Wednesday 21st May.
The homes have been built by Arches Housing, in conjunction with Rotherham Borough Council.
Two Dinnington Community Primary School students named the two new streets.
Hope Avenue and Pencil Lane were selected by winners Alex Critchlow and Ellie Dimmick.
