Dinnington: John Barker runs the equivalent of five marathons in five days to raise money for Rotherham Hospice.

In memory of his girlfriend’s mum, John Barker ran the equivalent of five marathons in five days,to raise money for Rotherham Hospice.

He set off from the town hall in Rotherham and finished in Newcastle.

John witnessed first hand the huge care his girlfriend’s mum, Katherine Pearson, received at the hospice, after she had a short battle with cancer.

Katherine sadly died last November.

The event raised £2,200 for the hospice
