The branch on Laughton Road will close from 5.30pm on Thursday 2nd January and reopen again from 1pm on Monday 13th January.

As part of the plans, the Post Office will have four serving positions. These will be a mix of one traditional screened serving position, two open plan serving positions and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter, which will be available during shop opening hours.

Opening hours will be more than doubled. The branch itself will open from 9am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday, while Post Office services will be available at the retail counter from 6am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.

During the closure, the nearest branches for customers will be on Woodhouse Green in Thurcroft and Rockford Road in North Anston.

Post Office regional network manager for Central England Adrian Wales said: “We understand how important the Post Office is to residents around Dinnington and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”

“This modernisation is part of a three-year investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office, that will see around half of the Post Office network converting to new-style branches and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
