Youngsters at a local football team have been helping customers pack their shopping at Tesco in Dinnington.
Every 12 weeks, the store on Undergate Road picks a community project to support to help raise cash.
Budding footballers at Anston Rangers Under 10s were chosen and will be involved in a number of future fundraising activities in store.
A bag packing day helped to raise £633 at Christmas and the store is aiming to generate more cash to go towards a new kit, training equipment and benches.
Nadine Harris, service manager at Tesco in Dinnington, said: “The idea behind this is to highlight to the public, projects or groups needing support and how we can help them as a store and a community.”
“We as a store team feel very strongly about helping our local communities, as we cover several areas such as Dinnington, Thurcroft, North Anston, South Anston, Todwick, Kiveton Park, Wales, Laughton. We are actively seeking projects within these areas to support.”
“We will run events such as bag packing days, cake stands, raffles, tombola’s, car washes, sponsored events, bike rides, and various other fun days to support our project.”
“This project will also run in conjunction with the Tesco charity of the year which is a combined charity of The British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK. The project and charity will not clash with each other and both will be fully supported by the store.”
Future events for Anston Rangers Under 10s include a raffle on 28th March, bag packing on 4th April, a bike ride on 18th April and a Tesco vs Anston Rangers football match on 19th April.
