A couple and their 13 year old daughter were in the house at the time.

Detective Sergeant Gemma Kew said: “We are working with the fire service to establish the cause of the fire but we believe it was deliberate.”

“Fortunately the family got out of the property safely and were not hurt, but the outcome could have been far worse.

“If you saw anything in the area of Hardwick Road or Rushley Close at this time or if you have any information about the fire please call us on 101, quoting incident 55 of 30th May.”
