Chris has been with the Self Help Group since it began 30 years ago and has worked hard to ensure elderly and disabled people had the chance to enjoy a range of days out.
Group member Kathleen Goodwin said Chris was a great lady.
“Chris would be the first person to say that an organiser is only as good as her helpers, but the helpers also know that there has to be a leader,” she said.
“This has made for a very harmonious and happy club for three decades.”
