Woman struck across face with glass bottle near Worksop
A woman was struck across the face with a glass bottle following an argument in a street.
The attack happened in Queen Elizabeth Crescent, in Rhodesia, shortly before 2am yesterday.
The victim suffered cuts and bruising to her face and chest.
She was taken to hospital as a precaution and later discharged.
Police were quickly on the scene and arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm.
He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detective Constable Jackie Price, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are satisfied this was an isolated incident involving people who are known to each other and that there is no wider threat to the local community.
“Whilst we have made an arrest, our enquiries are at an early stage and I would ask anyone with information about either incident to call 101 quoting incident number 119 of 12 July.”
