Woman injured after ‘altercation’ in Worksop

A man has been arrested after a woman was injured in what police have described as an ‘altercation’ in Worksop.

Police were called to a house in Furnival Street at around 10.25pm on Friday.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police arrested a man who is believed to have left the property in a van and driven a short distance before crashing into a car.

Detective Sergeant Luke Todd, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working hard to establish the circumstances of the report and our enquiries are ongoing.

“While we are pleased to have made an arrest, it is still very early in our investigation and I would appeal for anyone with any information that could aid our investigation to come forward.”
