Vape shop burglary suspect arrested within minutes in Worksop
A suspected intruder was tracked down and detained within minutes of a burglary report coming in.
Response officers rushed to Newcastle Street, Worksop, after hearing a vape shop had been broken into at 2.25am on Monday (October 12).
Believing the person responsible could be in an abandoned building located behind the shop, officers went inside it and an arrest was made by 3.07am, after police found the man lying on the floor behind a door.
Officers arrested the 34-year-old man on suspicion of burglary and a public order offence.

Sergeant Jack Wakefield, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We hope the speed our officers responded to this break-in and made this arrest shows how seriously we take reports of this nature.
"A burglary – whether on a home or a business – can cause real distress to people's lives, or in this case their livelihoods.
"We clearly don't want to see this happen in our communities, so will always look to do everything we can to take immediate action against offenders."
