Two men 'knocked unconscious and stamped on' in Bassetlaw assault

Police have released footage of three men they would like to speak to after two men were hospitalised in an assault.

Officers were called to Arlington Way at the junction with Union Street in Retford at around 2am on Sunday 9 August when two 18-year-old men were reported to have been knocked unconscious in an altercation.

Today, Nottinghamshire Police has released CCTV footage of three men that officers would like to speak with in connection with the incident.

Police Constable Carl Forman, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious attack where two young men are believed to have been knocked unconscious by a group of three men before being stamped on.

“The two men were taken to hospital for treatment and are set to make a full recovery, however, this would have been a terrifying experience for them.”
