Officers from the Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team were called to assist officers in Bolsover and Clowne after they received reports of damage to a large greenhouse.

Pictures uploaded to social media by the force show smashed glass on the floor, after all the window panes were broken.

The green house in the Bolsover and Clowne area is said to have belonged to an ‘elderly gentleman’ and five people have been arrested.

Officers cleaned up the aftermath of the damage and confirmed the offenders had been ‘dealt with accordingly’.

In a post on Facebook, police wrote: “Our team work here not only highlights what community policing is all about but also highlights a great community spirit!”

One resident replied: “Disgusting. I hope the offender's and or their parents are going to replace the broken glass at the very least. No need for this, mindless...”.
