Three Worksop men have been arrested on suspicion with possession with intent to supply Nitrous Oxide, more commonly known as ‘laughing gas’.

The 23-year-old trio were taken into custody on June 3 following a police operation to clamp down on Nitrous Oxide misuse after dozens of empty canisters were found on Radford Street, Manton.

Neighbourhood Sergeant Robert Holmes said: "It's a complete nuisance that people seem to have been abusing Nitrous Oxide in this way and we are keeping a close eye on it after seizing numerous empty canisters.

“We are operating increased patrols in the area and are also working with the local council to target the offending and utilise the CCTV that's available there.

"We'd also like to remind people that littering is an offence and anyone found committing it will be fined.”

The men have been released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
