How many can you remember?
5. Terry Rodgers
Jealous father Terry Rodgers murdered his daughter Chanel Taylor a few weeks after her wedding at her Huthwaite home. Like Robert Boyer, Rodgers also went on the run and hid in surrounding woodland at the same time - triggering one of the biggest manhunts of all time. Rodgers was found after 17 days and admitted his daughter's manslaughter but not her murder. This was not accepted by the prosecution and a murder trial was arranged but Rodgers went on hunger strike and died in prison before it could take place. Photo: Nottinghamshire Police
6. Lawrence Bierton
Lawrence Bierton, of Rayton Spur, Worksop, murdered his 73-year-old neighbour Pauline Quinn on November 9, 2021, while out on licence after serving part of a life sentence for the murders of two elderly sisters from Rotherham in 1995. He has yet to be sentenced. Photo: Submitted
7. Neil Entwistle
Worksop-born Entwistle murdered his American wife and young daughter with her father's handgun before fleeing back to Nottinghamshire. He was later arrested and extradited back to the states where he was tried and sentenced to life imprisonment. He initially claimed that Rachel Entwistle and baby Lilian had been murdered by a third party while he was out running errands, and later that Rachel had killed Lilian before taking his own life. He was not believed and ran out of appeals in 2012. Photo: Submit
8. Pater Smith
Smith was jailed for at least 27 years after murdering his 71-year-old neighbour Hilda Owen in 2007. Smith, who used a claw hammer and screwdriver to kill Mrs Owen, had recently been made the beneficiary of her will. He was initially found guilty of her murder at a trial the following year and at a retrial two years later. Photo: Notts Police
