Police bid to trace good Samaritan who helped man after serious attack in Worksop

Police are keen to trace a good Samaritan to thank her after she helped a man to his feet following a serious attack at a Worksop pond earlier this month.

The incident happened at Godfreys Pond in Sandhill Street between 4pm and 5pm on May 9.

The victim was attacked by an unknown offender and suffered serious facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Lisa Porter, of Nottinghamshire Police, is leading the investigation and said: "We are appealing to hear from the unknown woman who helped the victim to his feet.

“We'd be interested to speak to her and thank her for her actions that day.

“Who knows what would have happened if she hadn't been there.”
