Motorcyclist seriously injured in 'nasty' Worksop crash

A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured in a crash in Worksop.

Police were were called to Valley Road shortly before 11.30am yesterday (Sunday, August 9) when a car and a motorbike collided.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Sheffield.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The driver of the car was also taken to hospital with minor injuries, but discharged later the same day,

Inspector Neil Bellamy, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This was a nasty collision in which a man has sustained some considerable injuries.

"We are currently investigating the circumstances of this crash and would like to speak to anyone who either saw what happened or who may have other information that can assist our investigation."

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 101 quoting incident 308 of August 9.
