Mansfield surgery closed for ‘foreseeable future’ after early hours burglary and fire
A medical surgery in Mansfield has been forced to close for the "foreseeable future" after it was broken into and set on fire in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Roundwood Surgery at Wood Street wrote on its Facebook page that the incident has resulted in the street to be blocked off as emergency services were deployed to the area.
The surgery has advised its patients not to turn up as they will be in contact with them to reschedule their appointments.
A phone call to the surgery also led to an automated voicemail informing the public that it has been closed for a foreseeable future due to the fire.
Messages of support and well wishes for the surgery have since poured in with many hoping the building can be saved and get up and running again.
Nottinghamshire police and the fire service have been contacted for more details on the incident.
