We are back at Nottingham Crown Court where the jury sitting in the murder trial of Mansfield mother Katie Crowder will begin their second day of deliberations.

Crowder is accused of scalding her 19-month-old daughter to death on March 6 this year at the home they shared in Wharmby Avenue, Mansfield, and they stalling before raising her alarm to ‘cover her tracks’.

Crowder, who denied murder, said she found Gracie unconscious next to an overturned mop bucket and ran with the child to her parents’ home.
