Man charged with multiple offences after incident in Worksop

A man is due to appear before magistrates charged with multiple offences after an incident in the Worksop area.

Nottinghamshire Police officers said they were called to a report that a man had thrown a bottle at a woman – causing an injury to her face – then driven a van into a car and made threats to kill and pour petrol over another woman and her car at around 10.25pm on Friday.

Gary Peacock, 29, of Furnival Street, Worksop, was arrested on Saturday and subsequently charged with grievous bodily harm, threats to commit criminal damage, administering a noxious substance with intent to injure others and drink driving.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before magistrates in Nottingham on Monday, according to a Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson.
