Man arrested in Worksop following aggravated burglary

Nottinghamshire Police was called to Edinburgh Road at around 3.40pm after a report of a man forcing his way into a property and assaulting a man inside.

Officers attended the scene and conducted inquiries into the incident.

A man was arrested near the scene on suspicion of aggravated burglary and stalking.

Detective Sergeant Abigail Goucher, of Nottinghamshire Police said: "Violent crime can have a devastating impact on people's lives and we are committed to thoroughly investigating all reports made to us.

"Our officers acted quickly to make and arrest and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
