Man arrested for stabbing victim in the back in Nottinghamshire

Officers have made an arrest after a man was stabbed in the back in the early hours of this morning (May 5) in Langold, near Worksop.

The man suffered a puncture wound and was taken to Doncaster A&E for treatment. His injuries aren't believed to be life altering.

Officers were contacted by EMAS at around 1.15am Doncaster Road.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH and remains in police custody.

Detective Inspector Kim Binns said: "Thankfully it appears the victim hasn't suffered life changing injuries.

"We are pleased we have made a quick arrest in relation to the incident.

"Officers remain in the area and we are speaking to the local community to offer reassurance. We believe this is an isolated incident and both men were known to each other.”
