A 58-year-old man is being questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, possession of a noxious liquid, possession of a taser and burglary and theft offences after specialist police teams raided addresses in Amanda Road and Sandrock Road on Sunday April 25.

Cannabis, as well as another substance believed to be amphetamine, were recovered during the operation along with two stolen motorbikes, one of which had been stolen during a burglary in Doncaster in 2018 and a second during a burglary in Harworth in February 2021.

Detective Sergeant Dave Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I hope yesterday’s positive action gives members of the public confidence that the force is proactively investigating crimes to keep our communities safe.

"I would also like to use this opportunity to say that intelligence is a key element of our investigations and encourage anyone with information about the supply of drugs or firearms to contact us or Crimestoppers.

“Proactive operations like this one are just one small part of the preventative work that we are doing to tackle crime in our communities.

“Intelligence is a key element of our investigations so I’d urge the public to keep reporting any suspicious activity to us. The better intelligence picture we can build, the more robust action we can take.

“If you notice anything suspicious in your area please do not hesitate to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or in an emergency, dial 999.”
