We are back at Nottingham Crown Court to cover the murder trial of Katie Crowder – the Mansfield mother accused of scalding her 19-month-old daughter Gracie to death.

It is alleged that the 26-year-old, of Wharmby Avenue, Mansfield, murdered the toddler in the early hours of March 6 and delayed before raising the alarm to ‘cover her tracks’.

Yesterday, prosecutor Sally Howes QC accused Crowder of of ‘watching her daughter die’ while high in cocaine.

The jury is expected to go out today.
