Investigation launched after woman, 52, found dead in Farnsfield home

Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services were called to an address in Greenvale, Farnsfield, shortly before 2.30 on Friday afternoon.

The woman was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

In a statement released on Saturday, Detective Inspector Craig Hall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said the officers are still at early stages of determining the cause of death.

“We are still at the very early stages of this investigation and are currently working to establish exactly what happened inside this property.

“We have been conducting house-to-house enquiries but would like to stress that there is no need for wider public alarm.”
