Elderly Worksop couple's house 'ransacked' by thieves

Detectives investigating a burglary in Worksop are appealing for information.

It's believed thieves gained entry into the elderly couple’s house on Baulk Lane between 9.45am and 11am on Tuesday (15 December).

The house was ransacked and cash and bank cards were stolen.

Detective Sergeant Jamie Moore, said: "We're asking residents if they saw anything suspicious in the area around the time it happened, no matter how small.

“We have several lines of enquiry to follow up and are continuing to work with the victims who have been left shaken by what happened.

"There'll be an increased police presence in the area over the next few days so if people do have any concerns, please talk to one of our officers."
