The contract for running the Sexual Assault Referral Centre services in Yorkshire and the Humber is to go out for tender in the New Year.

In August the four Police and Crime Commissioners for the region, in partnership with NHS England, put the contract out for tender and the one single bidder who applied later withdrew from the process.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Plans are in place to ensure that SARC services continue to be provided across the region, whilst work continues to secure a longer-term delivery partner or partners.”
