Cars found burning across South Yorkshire over weekend

Firefighters across South Yorkshire dealt with a series of car fires over the weekend.

One blaze crews were alerted to involved a car found burning in Wharncliffe Woods, near Grenoside, Sheffield, at 8.50am on Saturday.

The car had been set alight.

Another car was torched in an arson attack on Doncaster Road, East Dene, Rotherham and crews also dealt with a car set on fire on Welfare View, Goldthorpe, Barnsley.

Three other cars caught fire accidentally over the weekend - one on Ringinglow Road, Ringinglow, Sheffield; another on Chesterfield Road, Swallownest, Rotherham and one on Ivanhoe Avenue, Kiveton Park, Rotherham.

Anyone with information about the arson attacks should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
