Boxing Day attack

A MAN has been remanded in custody following an attack in the early hours of Boxing Day.

Police officers were called to an address in Worksop after receiving reports that two people had been injured.

Officers attended an address in the town centre at 4am.

A woman was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury and cuts to her arms and a man was also treated for a head injury. Both were released a short time later.

Mark Charles O’Sullivan, 35, of Godfrey’s Court, Worksop, was arrested at the scene. He was later charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Monday 27th December.

O’Sullivan was remanded in custody until 10th January when he will appear at Nottingham Crown Court.
