Smoke could be seen across Worksop, Aston and parts of Sheffield as firefighters from Aston Park Fire Station battled the fire near Aston Grange Farm, at Lindrick Dale, last night (Thursday, April 15).

It broke out in the late evening and crews from Aston Park didn’t leave the scene until 12.45am.

Smoke could be seen for miles.

Firefighters returned to the scene this morning and, after carrying out an investigation, believe the fire was a result of an arson attack.

The matter will now be passed on to South Yorkshire Police.
