Appeal after cash and valuables stolen in Worksop burglary

Detectives investigating a reported burglary in Worksop are appealing for information, witnesses and any footage that could help them solve the case.

Police were called to Poplar Close in Worksop at around 9.15pm on Tuesday, August 25 after a large window pane of a house’s patio door was smashed.

When officers arrived to investigate, it was found that items had been taken from within the property, including cash and other valuables.

Detective Constable David Smith, who is overseeing the investigation, said: “It is likely that the breaking of a window will have made substantial noise and we are appealing to anyone who may have any information to come forward.

“Did you hear something suspicious? Did you see something out of the ordinary? Any information you have could help us understand what happened.

“Nottinghamshire Police takes burglary very seriously and will investigate all reports made to the force.
