Crews tackle Tuxford lorry fire
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a cement lorry that was on fire on the B1164 Great North Road near Tuxford this afternoon (Wednesday).
Crews from Tuxford and Retford were called at around 2.30pm to the scene where they found flames coming from behind the driver’s cab.
The driver escaped from the vehicle unhurt.
The road, near the Markham Moor roundabout, was closed for around 20 minutes while crews put out the fire.
They used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to complete the job.
