A Creswell mum who unleashed a vicious attack on her daughter has had her case further adjourned.

Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard this month how Lisa Richardson, aged 37, of No Fixed Address, attacked her daughter while she was living with her grandmother.

Becky Allsop, prosecuting, previously explained Richardson’s daughter originally had lived with her grandmother because of Richardson’s drug and alcohol issues.

Mrs Allsop said Richardson visited her daughter and following a dispute the defendant butted and scratched her daughter before dragging, kicking and punching her. Mrs Allsop added Richardson also ripped some of her daughter’s hair out.

Richardson told police she had wanted to clear things up and her daughter had been the aggressor. The defendant, formerly of Welbeck Street, was found guilty of the assault, from July, after a trial. Sentencing has been adjourned until January 6. Richardson was remanded in custody.
